Corporate Gifting Tool Without Subscriptions: How Giftronaut Works

Gift card, laptop with a gift box on screen, and dollar and euro coins for a digital corporate gifting tool

A corporate gifting tool shouldn’t charge you before you send a single gift.

Giftronaut doesn’t. We charge no subscription, platform, setup or per-card fees, and you pay the face value of the cards you send.

There is one catch. You fund your account before you send, and that step takes longer than most people expect.

What is a corporate gifting tool?

A corporate gifting tool is software that lets a company send, track, and manage gifts from one account.

With Giftronaut, the gifts are digital gift cards. You pick the amount, and the recipient picks the brand. It replaces the spreadsheet, the separate vendors, and the physical cards you used to mail.

Is Giftronaut really free to use?

Yes, we charge no subscription, platform, setup, or per-card fees. Here is what you pay for each part of the process.

Item What you pay
Subscription, setup, or per-seat fees None
Gift cards and prepaid cards Face value only. Recipients pay no activation or redemption fee.
ACH or wire funding Free
Credit card funding 3% processing fee
Payout Options (PayPal, Venmo) If you choose to have the recipient cover the redemption fee, it’s deducted from what they redeem.

How does funding work before you send?

Your account has to be funded before you can place any order. You add funds from the dashboard by credit card or by invoice paid through ACH or wire.

Method Fee When funds are available
Credit card 3% Almost immediate during US business hours, up to 1 business day otherwise
ACH None 2 to 5 business days after you send
Wire None 1 to 2 business days after you send

Which method fits depends on your send:

Credit card suits a send you need today. It’s almost immediate during US business hours, and you pay the 3% fee.

ACH or wire suits planned sends and larger deposits. They’re free, and our Help Center recommends them for larger amounts.

So if your team sends birthday gifts on Friday, start the ACH transfer early in the week. Your account is funded and kept in USD.

How does Giftronaut compare with other corporate gifting platforms?

Pricing, reach, and support differ more than the feature lists suggest. Here is how Giftronaut stacks up against three other gift card platforms, side by side.

Before you compare any two tools, ask each vendor three questions:

  1. What do I pay before I send?

  2. What do I pay per gift?

  3. Which features cost extra?

Our guide to choosing a corporate gift card platform goes deeper on the criteria.

What do recipients get?

With a Giftronaut Choice Card, you choose the amount. Your recipient chooses the brand.

They pick from 4,300+ brands across 225 countries, in 51 currencies. If you send in a non-USD currency such as CAD or EUR, we guarantee the value at the exchange rate on the day you send.

Recipients redeem from an email or a link. They don’t need an account, only a one-time email verification.

Giftronaut recipient flow in three steps: choose a currency, pick a brand, then get the card

How do you send, brand, and track your gifts?

Giftronaut makes it easy:

  1. Create a free account with your business email.
  2. Fund your account. Start with ACH or wire if you aren’t in a rush.
  3. Add your logo. Brand templates carry your logo and colors into the emails, and White Label extends them to the redemption pages.
  4. Send in bulk or automate. You can use the dashboard, the API or Zapier.
  5. Track redemption. The Refund Option adds recipient-level redemption status.

Corporate email filters sometimes block gift card emails. If that happens, you can resend the email or correct the recipient’s address from your portal. You can also ask your account rep or support@giftronaut.com to turn on Download Reward Links, then share each link through your own channel.

Giftronaut sending steps: customize your logo and message, add recipients from a CSV, then send now or schedule

The Refund Option also protects your budget. It returns up to 50% of unredeemed value to your balance: 50% on a 30-day redemption window, 40% on 60 days, and 30% on 90 days.

Giftronaut Refund Option rates: 50% back on a 30-day window, 40% on 60 days and 30% on 90 days

Who is Giftronaut a good fit for?

Giftronaut fits teams that send digital gift cards to employees, clients or partners, especially across borders. If you want to see how it plays out with pricing in mind, compare it with the no-fee gift card options we reviewed.

It isn’t the right tool for physical gifts or branded merchandise. We sell digital gift cards and prepaid cards.

Is Giftronaut legit?

Don’t take our word for it. We’re rated 4.6 out of 5 across 307 reviews on G2 (as of October 2026).

Here’s what one reviewer said about sending to remote teams: “It makes it easy to send gift cards to employees who don’t work in the same office as you or are remote to quickly get sent out.” (G2 review by Morgan S.)

Try a sample, then fund when you’re ready

Reviews only tell you so much. Send yourself a sample Choice Card to see what your recipients see, before you add any funds. When you’re ready, fund the account with the method that fits your send date.
