Businesses can buy the Global Visa Reward Card through Giftronaut and send it by email to recipients abroad. It’s a digital prepaid Visa card issued in USD and accepted at Visa merchants in 225 countries, except countries subject to US sanctions.
So one card works for a remote team or a client list spread across many countries, with no account for recipients to create.
What is the Global Visa Reward Card?
It’s a digital, single-load prepaid Visa card, so it works at any Visa merchant rather than at one store. Recipients can spend it online, in-store, or by phone, or add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and tap to pay.
Top features of the Global Visa Reward Card
- Mobile wallet ready: add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for tap-to-pay purchases.
- No account to create: recipients activate it directly from a voucher link.
- Issued in USD: one card for recipients in many countries, with no issuance, monthly, or inactivity fees.
- Delivered by email: no physical card to ship or lose.
Giftronaut also offers a global Mastercard, and the two cards differ in coverage and amounts. To pick between them, see our Visa vs Mastercard gift card comparison.
Where to buy a Global Visa Reward Card
Businesses can buy the card through Giftronaut and send it with just each recipient’s email address. There are no platform fees, contracts, or subscriptions. Credit card funding carries a 3% processing fee, and ACH and wire funding are free.
- Choose the Global Visa Reward Card, or a Giftronaut Choice Card if you want recipients to pick.
- Set the reward amount and add recipients one by one or by spreadsheet.
- Send it right away, or schedule it for a specific date or event.
The card arrives in the recipient’s inbox, with your company logo, colors, and personalized message in the email. For a group spread across countries, a Choice Card lets each person pick from 4,300+ brands in 225 countries, depending on their location.
Giftronaut lets you send to hundreds or thousands of recipients in a few clicks. For larger orders, see our guide to sending Visa gift cards in bulk.

How to redeem your Global Visa Reward Card
Recipients redeem the card from the reward email in five steps, and they don’t need an account. Each step below matches the screen your recipient sees.
1. Open the reward email and click Checkout
Click the redemption link in the reward email and confirm your email address with the one-time verification email, which stays valid for 10 minutes. The redemption page then shows the card and its amount. Click Checkout.

2. Click Collect Voucher
The next page shows the card with its 6-month validity. Click Collect Voucher to issue your voucher. Once it’s issued, it can’t be canceled.

3. Open your voucher link
You’ll see your unique voucher link and the date it’s valid until. Click the link to open your card. You can come back to this screen anytime through the same link.

4. Activate your card
The voucher link opens your Visa Prepaid Card page. Check the box to accept the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cardholder Agreement, then click Activate card.

5. Start using your card
Once it’s active, you’ll see your available balance. From here you can:
- See card details: the card number and details you need to pay online or by phone.
- Add it to your wallet: use the Add to Apple Wallet button, or follow the link on the page to add it manually.
- Create a PIN: use the Create a PIN link on the same screen.

Important information to keep in mind
1. Single-load. The card can’t be reloaded, and it closes once the balance reaches $0.
2. Six months to spend. The card is valid for 6 months from the date of issuance, so spend it soon.
3. Purchases only. It can’t be used at ATMs or on payment apps like Venmo.
To check the balance later, open the original reward email. Its link shows the remaining balance and the transaction history.
Where can I use the Global Visa Reward Card?
The card works anywhere Visa is accepted in 225 countries, online, in-store, or by phone. The one exception is countries subject to US sanctions, named below.

Online, the recipient enters the card details at checkout. In-store, they tap to pay with Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and by phone they read the card details to the merchant.
The card also reaches places where local gift cards are scarce. In the 42 African countries Giftronaut reaches without a locally issued gift card, recipients can be rewarded with the Global Visa Reward Card.
Local cards and global cards suit different recipients. For help choosing, see our guide to international Visa gift cards.

Global Visa Reward Card fees and expiration
The card’s only cost falls on purchases in currencies other than USD. So recipients who shop in US dollars pay nothing extra, and everyone else should plan for the fee below.
| Term | Global Visa Reward Card |
|---|---|
| USD purchases | No fee |
| Non-USD purchases | 3% international fee plus 3% foreign exchange fee, 6% in total |
| Issuance, monthly, and inactivity fees | None |
| Amount | $5 to $500 (USD) per card |
| Validity | 6 months from the date of issuance |
For example, let's say a recipient in France spends the equivalent of $100 in euros. The fee on that purchase would be $6.
Sending only to the US or Canada?
Recipients in the US or Canada can get a one-country Visa card with no activation fee instead. For those cards, see our guide to Visa gift cards with no fees.
