Giftronaut Gift Card API Beta Launch

Read our full API docs here.

The Giftronaut Public API is now available in beta.

You can now integrate gift card delivery directly into your own platforms — including HR systems, CRMs, ecommerce stores, rewards apps, and internal tools — without logging into the Giftronaut portal. For teams that send rewards at scale, this means you can now automate gift card delivery end-to-end from the systems you already use.

This is a beta release, and our API documentation is being updated regularly.
If you have any questions or feedback, please contact us at support@giftronaut.com.

What you can do:

1. Place orders

Send Branded Card or Choice Card orders immediately, or schedule delivery for a specific date and time.

2. Customize delivery emails

Create and manage email templates, including the subject line, message, button color, and border color. You can also link saved templates directly to your orders.

3. Manage recipients

Add, update, and delete recipients, organize them into groups for bulk sends, and search by name or email.

4. Browse the catalog

Retrieve available branded product listings and Choice Card image options via API.

5. Check your balance

View available and pending funds in real time; pull a full transaction history, including top-ups, usage, refunds, and transfers.

6. Build reusable campaigns

Save campaign templates with product, amount, sender name, and email settings. Re-run the same campaign with a new recipient list anytime.

Important notes:

  • Sandbox and Production environments use separate credentials. Be sure to fully test in Sandbox before switching to your Production key.

  • Email template logo images are uploaded through the Giftronaut portal and linked to API templates using a Template ID.

  • This is a beta release. Some endpoints and behaviors may change before general availability.

How it works:

  1. Sign in to the Developer Portal using your Giftronaut account credentials or create a new account to get started

  2. Create a new app and choose your environment: Sandbox for testing or Production for live sends.

  3. Copy your credentials (client_id and client_secret) from your app dashboard.

  4. Authenticate using your credentials against https://api.giftronaut.com.

  5. Test in Sandbox by browsing the catalog, placing a test order, and checking order status. No real funds are used.

  6. Switch to your Production key when you are ready to go live. No other integration changes are required.

Getting Started

The full API reference, quickstart guide, and Postman collection are available here. During the Beta Program, any Giftronaut customer can create a developer app and test at no cost — no separate plan or approval required. Spots are limited and the program may close early. Schedule a call with our team to explore the best setup for your program.

The Giftronaut API removes the manual steps between your internal systems and gift card delivery, so rewards can be sent automatically from wherever your team already works.
